I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.

I'm a 23 year old painter from coastal Maine currently living in Santa Cruz, California. I've been creating art since I was born with it heavily passed-down and influenced by my father, David Fickett. I was born drawing and since then I've been constantly searching for new ways to express my perceptions and experiences.

I started to hone my painting skill at Mt.Desert Island High School with the help of my mentors Charlie Johnson and Dan Stillman. There I was able to explore art to my heart's content and paint, sculpt, build, dream, and pursue any project I had in mind. I took 16 art classes there and quickly decided I wanted to do this for the rest of my life, I then had a few years of study at Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston but left due to financial reasons. Since then, starting around 2013 I began selling my art work part-time, both from my own personal portfolio and commission work, and now it has evolved to the point of becoming my full-time job.

My style is a combination of surrealism, expressionism, abstraction, and psychedelia, with my three-influences or icons being Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso. I feel it is heavily built upon the foundations they created. With double-imagery, subconscious manifestations, psychedelic abstractions, eye-popping complimentary colors, landscapes imagined from natural wonders in Maine and from the cityscapes observed while living in Boston I feel I've created a style of my own that can only be further shaped with each new piece. I've had local shows in Maine, sold at some local shops and cafes, music festivals, personal commission work, and online. Recently in 2016 I've also sold my work on the west coast, specifically at KindPeople's Collective in Santa Cruz.

I have a successful Kickstarter Project (Found HERE) that I finished funding for in 2015, called 'Landscape Painting Across the US', and the final paintings are currently being worked on to be finished by the end of 2016.

I've fully committed to the artist's lifestyle and put all my time, energy, money, and focus into creating beautiful art and getting it out to as many people as I can. I hope to spread art around the world, bring color to where there isn't, question, and hopefully improve the world we're all in.

I do custom commission work, merchandise design, and murals! Contact me for more information.
